Getting People to Your Web Site (1 of 7)

by Michael Covarrubias 17. February 2009 02:55

It is great to have a web site on the internet to show your company, but the question is what good is it doing for your company? The whole idea of having a web site is to have a site that is generating traffic and have it speak to your clients and potential clients about what you can do for them and why they should use your services.

For your web site to be successful then you must have visitors coming to your site. How do you do this? First off as yourself the following questions:

  • How old is my site and does it meet the current web technology standards?
  • What is my prospective cliental?
  • Have I created a good SEO campaign to match my prospective cliental?
  • Have I build good inter and outer linking for my web site?
  • Is my web site out-date?
  • When was the last time I updated my web site?

Having an effective web design done by professional web designers is the key. Yes, anyone can cut corners and create a web site using Front page but is that truly the best way to go?

Think about it, I myself am a web designer and software developer, but I don’t expect to be asked how to build a building, or if I’m asked the question I couldn’t answer it. Why? Because that is not my expertise, I need to go to a professional in that field to get the questions answered and get the job done right.

Check back on this blog to get the questions listed above answered. I will be addressing each question in a separate posting.
